Visas

09 March 2011

Effective 7 February 2011, Immigration NZ introduced 6 month interim visas for people who lodge work, student and visitor visa applications, at least two weeks prior to the expiry of their current visa.

However, the Interim Visa will not necessarily be of the same type as the current visa and with few exceptions, if there are any changes between the current and the new visa, applicants may find they receive interim visitors visas only.

Advice should be sought to avoid mistakes based on the assumption that the interim visas will be the same as the original.
